This second quarter in ICT has been a transformative experience for me, especially as I delved into the world of HTML tags. At first, the concept of coding felt intimidating—just a jumble of symbols and letters that seemed impossible to understand. But as the weeks progressed, I began to see the structure, logic, and creativity behind it. HTML, or Hypertext Markup Language, became more than just a technical skill—it became a new way to express ideas and build digital spaces.

One of the most important lessons I learned was the role of HTML tags in creating the backbone of any webpage. Tags like <html>, <head>, and <body> taught me how a webpage is structured from top to bottom. I discovered how the <title> tag affects what appears on the browser tab, and how <h1> to <h6> tags organize content into headings. These simple elements showed me how clarity and hierarchy are essential in web design.

I also learned how to use <p> for paragraphs, <a> for hyperlinks, and <img> for inserting images. These tags opened up a world of possibilities—suddenly, I could create pages that were not only functional but visually engaging. Understanding attributes like src, href, and alt helped me appreciate how HTML communicates with browsers to display content correctly.

One challenge I faced was remembering the correct syntax and nesting of tags. A single missing angle bracket or misplaced tag could break the entire layout. But through practice and feedback, I became more attentive to detail and learned to troubleshoot errors with patience. This experience taught me that coding is not just about writing—it’s about problem-solving and persistence.

As I move forward, I’m excited to build more complex webpages and explore how HTML interacts with other technologies. I want to continue improving my skills and maybe even design a personal website. The foundation I’ve built this quarter has given me the confidence to dream bigger and code bolder.

INDECISIVE CHILD -rhi-chan

I was 6 years old, when I first looked up at the stars and something inside me stirred a question that would never be fully answered, but would drive me to explore every corner of the universe . Although, I was reckless and curious about all the things around me, that didn't stop me to ask questions to the elders-- MOM, I asked the most embarrassing, and most nonsense things to her, fortunately, she isn't tired answering most of it, of course, to feed my curious little brain. When I got older I thought to myself, "enough!", I was making people around me "annoyed" or "uncomfortable", so much to the point they started to leave me and give me weird looks-- not that I care, but, for me to help myself get away in that embarrassing stage. Then, high school year comes-- Although, I am still adjusting to my environment. I'm still the curious, noisy girl that befriended everybody. that loud, cheerful girl-- Suddenly, that spark in me flickered and die...
